The National Chairman of the Accord Party, Professor Chris Imumolen, has declared that the people of Osun State are set to vote out the incumbent Governor, Ademola Adeleke, in the upcoming August 15 governorship election due to his woeful performance in office.

In a strongly-worded press statement on Tuesday, Imumolen asserted that reports gathered from all quarters of the state reveal deep-seated dissatisfaction with the current administration.

He emphasized that the electorate in Osun State are highly sophisticated voters who will prioritize governance, accountability, and tangible performance over political theatricals when they head to the polls.

The Accord Party Chairman criticized Governor Adeleke for failing to deliver meaningful development to the people of Osun State, despite receiving substantial monthly statutory allocations from the federal government.

Imumolen urged the governor to take full responsibility for his administrative shortcomings and stop deflecting blame onto external forces.

He held that governor Adeleke must leave the President Bola Tinubu out of his self-inflicted woes, stating that Adeleke has failed the people of Osun State despite the huge monthly allocations flowing into the state’s coffers.

The lack of visible progress across crucial sectors is a clear testament to an administration that has completely lost its focus.

According to Imumolen, internal and independent data indicate that the governor’s political standing in the state has drastically deteriorated.

He noted that the governor is facing a nearly impossible hurdle to retain his seat in the highly anticipated August 15 election.

The National Chairman said, “Opinion polls at our disposal have clearly shown that Governor Adeleke cannot scale through the election of August 15.

“Our party had earlier charged Governor Adeleke to take governance and performance seriously, but he consistently failed to heed our warnings.

“Now, the consequences of that negligence are catching up with him.Nobody Is Planning to Rig You Out”

Reacting to recent statements from the governor’s camp expressing anxiety over potential electoral malpractice, Imumolen dismissed the claims as a preemptive defense mechanism designed to cover up an impending defeat.

He maintained that the governor’s “shouting of rigging” is merely an attempt to deflect from the fact that the citizens have collectively resolved to reject him at the ballot box.

“Now that the people have concluded to vote him out, he is suddenly shouting rigging, let it be known that nobody is planning to rig you out.

“The voters of Osun State are simply ready to hold you accountable for your woeful performance, and they will use their constitutional power to elect leadership that genuinely serves them.” Imumolen expressed.
