Adeleke’s Subtle Denial Of Keeping Criminals Indicates His Graduation From Dancing, Cursing Governor To Lying Governor – Osun APC Slams Adeleke

Ahead of the forthcoming 15th August, 2026 governorship election in Osun State, the lingering political crises in the state got to a revealing crescendo on Friday with the visit of the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Olatunji Disu, when he met with the different strata of the stakeholders in the state, and pointedly told the state Governor Ademola Adeleke that the statutory briefing from the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. ibrahim Gotan and the major opposition All Progressives Congress APC party in the state has been the hiding of some of the criminals on the police wanted list in the Government House by the governor.
According to a statement issued by Mogaji Kola Olabisi, Osun State APC Director of Media and Information, the governor who refuted the allegation of keeping the criminals in the Government House went as far as stating that if his own children were found breaking any part of the law of the land, they should be arrested and prosecuted.
Olabisi said; “The response of the governor to this weighty allegation of his keeping some of the daredevil criminals in the Government House was grossly evasive and was at variance with the expected response to the allegation in the estimation of the right-thinking members of the society.
“How on earth could Governor Adeleke be denying the obvious allegation of his keeping some of the wanted criminals like Olalekan Oyeyemi a.k.a Emir Ajagungbade; Nurudeen Wakili Alowonle; Jide Jooda; Solomon Adefioye a.k.a. Solo Iwara and others in the Government House when it is a truism that he has always been together with them at both social and political gatherings or wining and dining with them or dancing with them?
“That Governor Adeleke subtly denied keeping the most dangerous criminals in the Government House is a reflection of his character that he has been running his government with lies, propaganda and subterfuge right from the onset of his outgoing administration.
“How would the embattled governor defend the recorded video that has gone viral of one of the leaders of the wanted criminals on the police list that was identifying the members of his gang to be allowed into a room in the Government House which he opened with enthusiasm by himself about two weeks ago?
“How about the ubiquitous still photos of the governor which he took with the daredevil political thugs at various functions to the consternation of the people of the state?
“Is Governor Adeleke not aware that one of his wives posed in a photograph with one of the criminals on the police wanted list recently which has become a source of condemnation in the state and beyond?
“The denial of Governor Adeleke that he has not been keeping dangerous political thugs in the state affirms the fact that he has added another negative feather to his nest of being a dancing governor, to a cursing governor and now a lying governor.
“It is equally worrisome that the embattled Governor Adeleke could have the effrontery to be denying his alliance and association with the daredevil political thugs on the police wanted list when it is a known fact that some of them were appointed political functionaries of the governor”, he said.
The lowlight of the IGP’s visit was that the handlers of the defunct Peoples Democratic Party PDP that has transformed to the deregistered Accord Party in Osun State needs to work on their members on how to behave in the public as it was shamelessly exhibited at the state Police Command.
While the members of the other parties were calm in their disposition to issues at the venue of the event, the same could not be said about the members of the deregistered Accord Party who were interjecting the event with needless booing of some of the members of the opposition, the commissioner of police and the state Police Public Relations Officer.
It is not a gainsaying that the representatives of the deregistered Osun State chapter of the Accord Party to the visiting IGP at the state Police Command on Friday were unnecessarily bellicose, militant and antagonistic which spoke volumes of their involvement in the lingering political crises in the state.
Our ever dedicated members and supporters should refuse to be distracted but continue with their constitutionally-allowed means of sending back the incumbent Governor Adeleke back to wherever he might have come from to pollute the political firmament of the state with his numerous anti-people policies which are responsible for his total rejection by the people of the state.
