Another Set Of 100 Constituents Benefited From Hon. Gboluga’s Empowerment Programme

The Lawmaker representing Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency at the National Assembly and deputy governorship candidate of the PDP, Hon. Gboluga Dele Ikengboju has again facilitated training and empowerment programme for another 100 persons in his constituency.

This was contained in a statement signed by Oyeniyi Iwakun, Special Adviser, (Media and Publicity) to the MHR, on Saturday, February 27th and made available to newsmen

The empowerment programme which took place at his constituency office in Okitipupa, on Saturday, 27th February, 2021 featured skill acquisition training in cake baking and other hospitality businesses after which participants were supported with startup cash gifts of N20,000 each.

The 100 beneficiaries were randomly selected from both Okitipupa and Irele LGAs including artisans who were trained on ways to improve their skills in tandem with global best practices.

Addressing participants on behalf of his principal, Hon. Niyi Akinmola, Chief of Staff to the Hon. Gboluga said the empowerment programme is part of the numerous projects initiated by the lawmaker to support his constituents even as he assured of more in no distant time.

In a swift reaction, one of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Christianah Orisaebinone from Okitipupa, said her thirst to improve her skills by learning new trades has been satisfied having participated in the programme.

She said “‘This is a great opportunity for me and I am very grateful to our MHR for this brilliant opportunity.

“For a long time, I have wished to learn cake baking and today, I have been well equipped, so I can assure you that I will maximize this opportunity.”

The Chairperson of Okitipupa LGA Hairdressers Association, Mrs B.O Ogundayomi, opined that the event was timely and well thought out, noted that its positive effect on the Ikale people cannot be overemphasized. She therefore encouraged the distinguished lawmaker to continue with his good deeds.

Mrs. Dare Amasika from Akotogbo, Irele LGA appreciated Hon. Ikengboju “for his outstanding leadership” prayed that God continus to enrich him with wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

Miss Aro Banke is another beneficiary from Irele LGA who expressed delight and satisfaction at the programme.
