China-Nigeria Sign Content Exchange, Cooperation Agreement

The Chinese and Nigerian government signs content exchange and cooperation agreement on Friday, August 7, 2026 at the film and literature symposium.

The event held at the China Cultural Centre in Abuja, was witnessed by the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E.Yu Dunhai, Deputy General manager of China Intercontinental Press and Media Co.ltd, Guan Hong, Editor-in-Chief of China Movie Channel Program Center, Cui Binzhen, H.E. Abdulkarim Ozi Ibrahim, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, the Director General, NTA, Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos, Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Authors, Abuja chapter, Chukwudi Eze and a host of other dignitaries.

Speaking at the occasion, H.E. Yu Dunhai expressed his gratitude and appreciation on behalf of the Chinese government to the guests present. He recognized the Permanent Secretary of the ministry of art, culture, tourism and creative economy, the director general, NTA for their long term support and friendship. He also warmly welcome to the Chinese delegation that graced the occasion.

H.E. Abdulkarim Ozi Ibrahim, in his remarks, said his perceptions about the Chinese has changed, having stayed in Beijing for about thirteen days. He said “this important occasion is another testimony to enjoy friendship and mutually-beneficial partnership between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the People’s Republic of China. It also reflects our shared commitments to strengthen culture and diplomacy, promoting creative industry, collaboration and foster greater people to people understanding through the art, film, tourism and cultural exchange.”
