Defence Minister Inaugurates Advisory Council Of NDC
…Charges members to contribute their best to the growth and development of the College

The Minister of Defence, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar CON, mni has inaugurated the National Defence College Advisory Council for the growth and development of the college.
While inaugurating the Council at National Defence College, Abuja, the Minister charged members of the Council to make the best use of the opportunity to contribute their quota to the growth of the college.
Badaru hinted that the council was first of its kind in the over three decades of the College’s history.
He pointed out the importance of the Council saying: ” Advisory Council plays crucial roles in the growth and development of institutions.”
Speaking to all the members, he said: “Distinguished Chairman and members of this Council, your acceptance to serve this great Institution once again is highly appreciated and commendable. There is no doubt that your wealth of knowledge and experience would be needed at this critical time in the history of the College.”
He commended the College Commandant, Rear Admiral ON Olotu for his vision and foresight in establishing the Advisory Council.
The Minister also appreciated the Chairman, Rear Admiral AG Adedeji (Rtd) and other members of the Advisory Council who are past Commandants of the College for accepting to serve the institution they once led and cherished.
Badaru reassured the Commandant of the College that the Ministry of Defence will continue to support the College in fulfilling its mandates.
Earlier, while presenting his welcome address, the Commandant of NDC, Rear Admiral Olotu said that the inauguration of the National Defence College Advisory Council was aimed at sustaining institutional memory and to continuously tap from the experiences of the Colleges’ past leadership.
The Chairman of the Advisory Council, Rear Admiral Adedeji (Rtd) thanked the Minister for bestowing the responsibility to serve and promised to bring in their experiences and meet the global best practices.
