Former Vice Chairman, Fatai Adams Has Emerged Ondo PDP Chairman

The immediate past Vice Chairman of PDP in Ondo state, Hon. Fatai Adams has emerged the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo state at the end of the state congress heard at Akure, the state capital on Tuesday.
Hon. Adams, who was the immediate past Vice Chairman of the party emerged the Chairman after he polled a total vote of 1,343 in the state congress on Tuesday to defeat his rival, Hon. Dennis Alonge-Niyi who polled 386 votes.
In his reaction, Adams promised to embark on a massive reconciliatory mission in order to solidify the party ahead of the October 10, 2020 governorship election in the state.
Meanwhile, Hon. Alonge-Niyi has shown sportsmanship by congratulating the Chairman-elect, Hon. Adams over his victory. He has accepted the election in good faith but hopes that the outcome of the congress won’t spell doom for the party.
