Hajj 2022: NAHCON Charges Tour Operators, Caterers On Service Delivery

In a bid to make this year’s Hajj comfortable for Pilgrims from Nigeria, NAHCON Coordinator, Madinah, Alh. Ibrahim Idris met with the caterers in charge of pilgrims as well as the representatives of tour operators in order to address various complaints by pilgrims to the commission.

Alh. Idris advised tour operators to remain steadfast on the welfare of pilgrims.

The chairman of Tour operators, Alh. Muhammad Ibrahim assures the commission of their commitment to delivering on their service.

Alh. Abdul Lateef Onimago, Head of the NAHCON’s Feeding Committee in Madinah asked the caterers not to infringe on the contractual agreement to adequately feed pilgrims in the right proportions. Caterers are also expected to take cognizance of pilgims on a special diet.

One of the caterers, Hajia Bilikisu Suleiman said; “After a two-year break, we are happy to be back to serve the visitors of Allah. We will continue to improve on our services to meet the interest of the pilgrims.”

In attendance were Alh. Ibrahim Idris, Alh. Abdul Lateef Onimago, Hajia Suwaiba Ahmed, Ahmad Muazu and the Representatives of tour operators and caterers.

In a related development, there was a facility tour to one of the kitchens by the media team and NAHCON officials.

The Caterer, Africana home restaurant and grills, said they have been in Dubai for over twenty years with over five branches. She said they are in Saudi to give quality food to pilgrims, their constraint sometimes in providing more indeginous food is the delay in the clearing of their containers at the sea port.
