A socio-cultural and economic group in Idanre Kingdom, The Idanre Development Assembly has released a new blueprint for the socio-economic development of the kingdom.
The content of the blueprint was revealed by the President General of the Assembly, Chief Dr. Anthony Omolola, during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Assembly to the palace of Owa of Idanre Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Frederick Adegunle Aroloye, Arubiefin IV, (JP) OFR on Saturday.
Dr. Omolola, said the blueprint would be publicly unveiled to the sons and daughters of the kingdom soon, assured that the blueprint and action plans would usher in massive positive development and transformation in all communities within the kingdom.
He said the contents of the blueprint would be executed by the experts-studded sub committees and eight directorates created by the Assembly for speedy and painstaking implementation of the blueprint.
The Assembly which was inaugurated last year October, according to the President General, was focusing mainly on getting the kingdom transformed in all spheres for the conducive living of the natives and residents of the kingdom.
Omolola said; “Some of these directorates are going to be in the areas of education, infrastructure, ICT, social integration, culture, agriculture, tourism and economic development, among others.”
Dr. Omolola, who is the Otunba Atuluse of Idanre Kingdom, commended and appreciated Oba Aroloye for his timely intervention in preventing political violence in the kingdom, particularly in the last general elections.
He, therefore, promised that the Assembly would proffer holistic solutions to the menace of thuggery, hooliganism and threat to life and property that had smeared the political image of the Kingdom.
Urging all Makanres at home and in the diaspora to cherish the strenuous efforts of Oba Aroloye to ensure peace and development of Idanreland, Dr. Omolola said a commission of enquiry would be set up to address the menace.
The Assembly would be holding its meetings at Ojomu Hall in the Owa’s Palace with the Owa of Idanreland as the Grand Patron while the traditional rulers of Atosin Idanre and Alade Idanre are to be patrons of the Assembly.
Also speaking during the visit, a former Commissioner for Information in Ondo State and member of the Assembly’s Leadership, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, assured that the Assembly members were all poised to render selfless, sacrificial and honest services to the Makanre race with all the human and material resources at their disposal with a view to ensuring Idanre kingdom assumed enviable clime soonest.
Akinmade who was a former Special Adviser (Media) to former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dimeji Bankole, emphasised that Idanreland would be developed through the multifaceted approaches that the Idanre Development Assembly had adopted.
Responding on behalf of the Paramount Ruler, the Adaja of Idanre kingdom, Chief Bello Ilemobola, appreciated the group for its giant developmental strides in the kingdom and its fresh plans.
The team also visited Awosunye of Atosin Idanre, Oba Gilbert Ogunlowo and High Chief Macdonald Oladipo Akinsowon, the Lisa and Regent of Alade Idanre.
