International Robotics Competition: Springhall British Secondary School Students Won in Rwanda

Nigeria’s Springhall British Secondary school students has won the 2nd runners-up position in the just concluded First LEGO League International Robotics Competition held in Rwanda.

The journey to the students’ remarkable display began at the national championship in Abuja, where Springhall British Secondary School emerged 1st position in Robot Technology at the First LEGO League Masterpiece challenge, the students progressed to the international Championship in Rwanda. In a remarkable display of talent and innovation, students from Springhall British Secondary School showcased their prowess at the First LEGO League International Robotics Competition held in Rwanda.

The event, which brought together young minds from across the globe with a total of 34 teams, served as a platform for budding engineers and innovators to demonstrate their skills and compete at the highest level.

Under the guidance of their dedicated Robotics coordinator, Mr. Garba, the Springhall team exhibited exceptional teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and creative thinking throughout the competition. Despite facing stiff competition, they remained resilient and demonstrated unwavering determination, ultimately emerging as standout performers.

The highlight of the competition came as the Springhall team secured the prestigious title of 2nd runners-up, a testament to their hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Their success not only reflects their individual talents but also speaks volumes about the quality of education and support provided by Springhall British Secondary School.

An event was aired on Rwanda TV, showed students were honored with a special gift from the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, who presented each participant with a Lenovo laptop in recognition of their outstanding performance. This generous gesture not only underscores the significance of their achievement but also highlights the international recognition garnered by the Springhall Robotics team.
