JUST IN: DSS Brought 8 detained Igboho Associates To court, Lawyers Query Action

The Department of State Services (DSS) on Monday produced before a Federal High Court in Abuja eight out of the 12 detained associates of the Yourba Nation advocator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho.

The agitators were arrested July 1 during a raid on Igboho’s residence at Ibadan by operatives of the DSS.

DSS’ lawyer, I. Awo said the production of the detainees was in compliance with an earlier order by the court.

Lawyer to the detainees, Pelumi Olajengbesi, queried the decision by the DSS to hold on to the other four.

The actual identity of the eight brought to court was imminently established.
