The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has once again demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility by donating essential pharmaceutical drugs to Muslims Professionals in Da’awah Foundation and Peacecare Foundation. The donation was made by the NAHCON Commissioner of Planning, Research, Statistics, Information, and Library Services (PRSILS), Prof. Abubakar A. Yagawal, in a ceremony held at the Hajj House in Abuja on Wednesday.

Speaking at the event, Prof. Yagawal highlighted the importance of supporting organizations that are dedicated to community service and healthcare delivery. He emphasized that the donation is part of NAHCON’s broader initiative to contribute to the well-being of Nigerians, especially those who are actively engaged in improving health and promoting peace through Da’awah and other humanitarian activities.

The donated pharmaceuticals were originally procured for use during this year’s Hajj operation. After the successful conclusion of the Hajj, a surplus of these medications remained.

Muslim Professionals in Da’wah was represented by the National Amir, Umar Farouk Bello, while Dr. Aisha Sidiqi represented Peace Care Foundation.

Both representatives expressed their deep gratitude to NAHCON for the generous donation. They noted that the pharmaceuticals would significantly aid in their ongoing efforts to provide medical care to underprivileged communities and promote peace and stability through their outreach programs.

This initiative underscores NAHCON’s dedication not only to the successful coordination of Hajj activities but also to making meaningful contributions to society through various philanthropic efforts.
