Ondo 2020 Build-Up: OSOPADEC Commissioner, Odimayo, Dump Akeredolu, APC for ZLP

One of the serving Commissioners on the board of Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), and chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief Ilawole Bisi, has dumped APC to join the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) ahead of the October 10, governorship election.

Chief Bisi’s resignation letter was sighted by Daily Metro News after it was received at the OSOPADEC office at Akure, Bisi thanked Gov. Akeredolu for the opportunity availed to him to serve his Ilaje people on the board of the commission.

Also in another development, a brother to one of the APC Aspirants and staunch supporter of Akeredolu re-election, Jimi Odimayo, Hon. Gbadebo Odimayo, who also is a former Irele LGA council boss in Ondo State, has also resigned his membership of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) for the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in a solidarity support for the Southern agenda of the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.

The duo of Bisi and Odimayo declared for the ZLP on Wednesday in Akure, Ondo State capital.

Odimayo, a senior brother to Jimi Odimayo, the APC governorship aspirant in the just concluded APC primary in Ondo State, was said to have been influenced to join the ZLP by his former boss, Hon. Yemi Tadema Festus, a former Majority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly.
