Ondo 2020: I Did Not Write Any Open Letter To Akeredolu — Mimiko
Deji Adebayo, Akure
The immediate past governor of Ondo state and the National Leader of ZLP, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko has on Wednesday dissociate himself from any the open letter written to his successor, Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN.
In a statement issued by Mimiko’s SA, Media, John Paul Akinduro, the former governor said “he has not written and will not write any letter to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State or any other candidate as we coast home to the October 10, 2020 Governorship election.”
Mimiko believes he has no reason to write Akeredolu as he believes his party, ZLP and candidate will come out with victory at the October 10, governorship election. He therefore huge the public to disregard any open letter in the public space that it is a figment of the imagination of the author.
The statement reads in part: “Any letter purportedly written by him is fake, tendencious and could only have been the figment of the imagination of the authors.”
Below is the full statement:
I did not write any open letter – Mimiko
Dr Olusegun Mimiko did not write, has not written and will not write any letter to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State or any other candidate as we coast home to the October 10, 2020 Governorship election.
Any letter purportedly written by him is fake, tendencious and could only have been the figment of the imagination of the authors.
Any message and or letter in the public domain that is not sent through established channels and or signed by aides of Dr Mimiko could only have been designed by people who are too cowardly and unsure as to put their thoughts out in their names.
We urge the reading public to beware of creators and peddlers of falsehood now that the race for governoship is well defined and clearly in favour of the Zenith Labour Party, the party to which Dr Mimiko belong.
Signed;
John Paul Akinduro
