Arsenal beat London rivals, Chelsea for the record fifth time at the Wembley stadium to win the FA Cup inside an empty stadium on Saturday evening.

Mikel Arteta’s side came from behind to win 2-1 in a game that rounds off the England football Association (FA) domestic season after a long corona virus disease break into the 2019/2020 season.

Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored brace after Christian Pulisic had put Frank Lampard’s Chelsea in front at the fifth minutes into the first half of the game.

Chelsea’s Mateo Kovacic was also sent off after what proved to be Arsenal’s winner for two bookable offences against Granit Xhaka.

Arsenal’s tally of FA Cup wins now stands at record 14 – more than any other English club and the club will now have the chance to participate in a continental league next season.

It is Arsenal’s fourth FA Cup win in seven seasons and they have secured Europa League participation next season having finished eight position on the league table.

Mikel Arteta has now become the first person to have won the competition as both Arsenal captain and manager.

Congratulations to the Gunners fans across the globe.
