Yusuf Alli At 60: He Is A Devoted Nation Builder — Says Buhari

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, today joined other well wishers to celebrate the The Nation Newspaper’s Managing Editor, Northern Operations, Alhaji Yusuf Ali on his 60th birthday.
Buhari, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, extolled Alli’s dedication to duty, devotion to nation building and determination to promote democratic values.
He also acknowledged his contributions to political developments in Nigeria, which he has made over the years, informing and enlightening Nigerians on political and other topics with fairness, balance and clarity.
The statement reads; “President Muhammadu Buhari joins the media in celebrating with Alhaji Yusuf Alli, Managing Editor, Northern Operations of The Nation Newspaper, on his 60th birthday, extoling the journalist for his dedication to duty, devotion to nation building and determination to promote democratic values.
“The President notes contributions of the journalist to political developments in the country, as a reporter and editor, regularly updating the public on germane issues with his hallmark of fairness, balance and clarity, which endear many readers to his reports.
“The President joins the Nigerian Union of Journalists, and Nigerian Guild of Editors in rejoicing with the prolific reporter and editor, whose interest in humanity recently saw to his investiture as 11th President of Rotary Club of Abuja in Maitama.
“President Buhari prays that the Almighty God will guide the celebrant in his service to the nation, and bless his family.”
