In a demonstration of unwavering support for the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims, His Excellency, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, Governor of Borno State, has pledged his administration’s continued commitment to improving Hajj operations in Nigeria. The Governor emphasized the importance of delivering services in line with global best practices to ensure a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for Nigerian pilgrims.

Governor Zulum made this commitment during a courtesy visit by the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Usman Saleh, and his delegation at the Borno State Government House in Maiduguri.

He commended NAHCON’s efforts in ensuring effective management of Hajj operations and assured the commission of his administration’s full support in advancing the welfare and spiritual fulfillment of Nigerian pilgrims.

The NAHCON team led by the Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Usman Saleh, also visited the palace of Shehu of Borno, while making his remarks during the visit, the Chairman said the team is in the palace to solicit for his support and advice towards improving Hajj management. He further highlighted the level of preparation done so far for 2025 Hajj.

The Shehu of Borno called on NAHCON to redouble effort to improve the Hajj exercise, he was particular about luggage and buses for movement of pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
