Breaking: Ondo Gov Inaugurates 18 Newly Elected LG Chairmen

The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has sworn-in all the elected eigtheen local government Chairmen alongside their Vice-Chairmen.
The well-attended swearing-in of council chairmen and vice-chairmen, at the International Event Center (The Dome), were attended by APC State Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, Speaker of the House of Assembly, SSG, Chief of Staff, Head of Service, Chief Olusola Oke and others.
Arakunrin Akeredolu congratulated the good people of Ondo state for electing council Chairmen to pilot the affairs of the local government councils.
He said, “the turn out during last Saturday council poll shows clearly that the relationship between the people of Ondo state and government is an enduring one and will last long.
“I know the election was not perfect because there are issues in some local government, but we all know there is no perfection anywhere in the world, not even America”, he added.
He said, “we must let all the council Chairmen and Councillors know that administration at the third tier of government, the Local Government, is imperative and guided by la.
“This your tenure will be the first to enjoy full tenure in office if you work well, meaning there must be continuity at the state level,” he admonished the new chairmen.
Akeredolu charged the council chairmen to priotise agriculture because it is the only way to grow IGR.
Akeredolu thanked all the caretaker chairmen, for their time and energy they put into developing the local council since they were appointed, urging them to do proper handing over to the new chairmen.
