#EndSARS: Lawan, Gbajabiamila Calls For End To Protests

The President of the Senate, Dr. Ahmed Lawan has called for an end to the #EndSARS protests that has taken over activities in the country at the moment.

Lawan said the protests has so far birthed desired results and it is also necessary to let our protesters know that government needs time to address a few of the demands made by the protesting youths.

The President of the Senate made this appeal at the Presidential villa, Abuja after a brief closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, and along with him is the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.

He urged the protesters to give the government some time to work on their other demands after effecting the EndSAR  demand, adding that the demonstrations that now involve blocking of roads will have an enormous economic impact on the country.

On the same vein, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, also called for an end to the protests, arguing that policy matters cannot be met overnight.

He however congratulated the protesters for a job well done assuring them that they can continue with the protests if their demands are not met in two weeks.
