Daily Metro News NG

HE, Alhaji Ali Olanusi, a former deputy governor of Ondo state, debunked rumours of his possible defection to join his former boss at the ZLP. He said, he has not defected from the APC to ZLP, urging people to disregard the rumours going the round the media.

He said Mimiko only visited him at his residence recently, hence the rumour that he will be leaving for the ZLP to form a third force ahead of the October 10 governorship election.

Here is the full statement Olanusi below:

In the last 48 hours I have read in various online platforms and received several calls from various quarters about my purported joining of the Zenith Labour Party, and this is to my dismay.

To set the records straight, Dr Olusegun Mimiko paid me a courtesy visit in my house at Alagbaka a couple of days ago and I think the visit is what has generated these insinuations and speculations.

Let it be known to the general public that I am a member of APC, I remain as one and will not abandon my party at this critical time. Hence, the news of my joining Zenith Labour Party is mischievous, misleading, laughable and can only exist in the realm of imagination.
