The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter, has highlighted the education, leadership development and social welfare programmes of Jesus Praise Evangelical Ministry International, Abuja, as the church marks its 10th anniversary.
In a statement signed by Felix Ojo, Chairman of the NUJ Correspondents’ Chapel, FCT, the chapel congratulated the church’s founder and Senior Presiding Pastor, Dr. Femi Lanre-Oke, on the anniversary and the ministry’s eighth convention, HEBRON 2026.
The chapel listed scholarships, His Praise Publishing and Bookshop, FLO Leadership Academy, FLO Marriage Seminar, FLO Mentorship Programme, Davidstone School of Ministry and the Still Waters Foundation among the ministry’s initiatives. Other programmes include social empowerment outreaches, business grants, Staystrong conferences, TED Woman Initiatives, and counselling and mentorship services.
According to the statement, the initiatives cover education, leadership training, family support and assistance to people facing social and economic difficulties. The chapel said the ministry had grown from a family gathering into a wider outreach focused on character development and preparing young people for leadership roles in their families, workplaces and communities.
The chapel also identified with the ministry’s stated mission to support vulnerable and marginalised people, including those who are oppressed, discouraged, rejected or disenfranchised. It said the ministry’s work reflected a vision of a church that responds to the needs of people beyond its congregation.
The statement also acknowledged the ministry’s cooperation with journalists and commitment to their welfare. The chapel expressed interest in strengthening the relationship through further partnerships and collaborative initiatives aimed at serving the public.
Ojo wished Lanre-Oke and the ministry continued dedication to their work as they mark the anniversary and hold HEBRON 2026.
