A Chieftain and former governorship Aspirant of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, has said that PDP is dead in Ondo State after he dumped the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The business mogul said the strategy he used to revive and build the PDP from its death state would be the same he will deploy to destroy the party in the October 10, gubernatorial election in the state.

Dr Ibrahim, said this when he officially joined the APC at Igbotako, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo state, he declared that the PDP and its candidate, Eyitato Jegede, would lose the October 10 election even if they spent all the money at their disposal.

Dr Ibrahim said the reason why he joined the APC was because of the giant strides being witnessed across the state under the leadership of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, particularly his efforts at resuscitating Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology which was abandoned in the eight years reign of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko administration in the state.

Ibrahim said; “I do not want to sound proud, but I revived PDP in this state. I know how I revived the party and I am going to use the same strategy to kill the PDP.

“I have received the broom from our party chairman here. This night, I will do something. I will give the PDP its poison. I know how I revived the party. I will poison the party to death again.”

He continued; “I have tried not to talk about the ZLP. I pray we will not suffer in this life. Where is Zenith Labour Party in this state? The painful thing is that Agboola saw a golden opportunity and missed it to join the train of betrayers.

“Let me congratulate you, Mr. Governor. You are going to win that election with a wide margin.”

The Ondo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Ade Adetimehin, who received Dr. Ibarahim into the party said, the APC parades array of leaders with proven integrity and good character across the state.

He applauded Ibrahim’s courage and vision while describing Jimoh Ibrahim’s decision to join the APC as one informed by the quality Governor Akeredolu’s achievements and quality of APC members
