UPDATED: Jegede Heads For Tribunal To Challenge Akeredolu’s Victory

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and its Govenorship candidate in the October 10 election in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, has concluded plans to challenged the victory of state Govenor, Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, at the Election petition tribunal, Daily Metro News can report.

Our Correspondent gathered that the Independent National Electoral Commission, the All Progressives Congress and the Deputy Govenor- elect, Lucky Aiyedatiwa were all joined in the petition

The PDP and its Governorship candidate has Ifedayo Adedipe, SAN, as their lead counsel

Jegede petitioned the election tribunal on four grounds.

He opined that the election was married by irregularities and pockets of violence and intimidation.

Jegede also faulted the emergence of Akeredolu during Party’s primaries.
